Can someone attach a trailer hitch to a Hyundai elantra and pull a airstream behind the car or not?

I have a Hyundai elantra and am thinking about pulling an airstream behind it.Is this possible or will the laws of physics be against me?|||It may pull it, but it will not pull it far.

The Elantra has a larger towing capacity than most cars (3086 lbs if you have trailer brakes) and most Airstream Trailers weigh much more than that.

You will be putting extreme stress on your vehicle, and will cause it to fail prematurely.|||Try to find a trailer hitch for the car that will handle that big of a trailer.... you can't...why, you don't pull them with a front wheel drive car. I found that out with a much larger front wheel drive car than you are talking about.|||not enough car too much trailer|||r u kidding me?

Where are the spark plugs of a 2000 Hyundai elantra located?

The engine light of my hyundai Elantra 2000 came on. It says there is a miss fire in cylinder 3. I just replaced the crankshaft position sensor and it was running fine for about a week. Someone said I should replace my spark plugs. I am not exactly sure where they are located on the Elantra.|||I have an 05 Elantra. On my car their is a plastic cover over the top of the engine , held on by 4 bolts . Remove these bolts and the cover lifts right off . Directly underneath right on top the engine you will see 4 plug wires coming in . Lift by the boots of these wires to remove the plug wire from the plug. The plugs will be recessed down in their about 5 inches , you will need a sparg plug socket and an extension to reach down in there. Install the new plugs and once they are snug give them another half turn. I suggest pulling one plug at a time and replacing with the new so as not to cross the plug wires . It really is an easy job that anyone can do. The new platinum plugs will run about $3 each X 4 + $12 . You will save around $40 or more on labor . Just did mine this week , It took me all of about 20 minutes.|||If you can't find the spark plugs... I would suggest you take the car someplace and have it repaired.|||Follow the distributor wires|||refer internet

How much will it cost me to replace the front axle in a 1999 Hyundai Elantra?

The CV joints in my Hyundai are going bad. Several people have told me that it's better to replace the whole front axle.

I'm just looking for a ballpark figure on how much this repair should cost, including parts and labor.|||You can get a Constant Velocity Joint (CV) for around $100 new or $50 for a remanufactured one from a parts store like Napa, etc.

I would say the whole bill would be in the ballpark of around $300-$400 including labor if everything went ok.

How good are Hyundai's and How long do they last?

I am looking into possibly buying a 2005 Hyundai Elantra, any suggestions? Whats your experience with hyundai? I have never owned a Hyundai before.|||I have 2 of them... a 2003 and a 2007, both bought new. By the performance of the 2003 I bought the 2007 and have found both very good cars. If to do over I would still buy the cars and when looking for another new car, 99% chance it will be another Hyundai. I do not and will not baby my cars so I drive them hard and the Hyundai's have taken my abuse. I pay cash for my cars so I can afford what I want and If someone doesn't believe that, put your money where your mouth is and I'll show you the titles without a lean holder.|||the Elantra has been a good, reliable car. a 2005 is 5 years old, however. so mileage and maintenance will play a part. any car which has been neglected or abused won't "last" as long

the Elantra isn't known for giving unforeseen problems, but depending on age and mileage certain things need to be done. has the oil been changed regularly? coolant replaced? brakes serviced, power steering fluid changed, and the auto trans serviced? at 60,000m the timing belt is also scheduled for replacement. that is very important and is expensive at a dealer, a lot less from an independent shop.

so how "long do they last?" well, here are a couple of links for your research

that is a long list of '05 Elantra's on sale with higher mileage. and this:

http://www.edmunds.com/hyundai/elantra/2鈥?/a>

that is 226 owner reviews and impressions of the '05 Elantra. if its been taken care of and you like the way the car drives and stuff, it should treat you as well as any car and go a good number of miles|||I have a 2004 Elantra and just took it in for my 60,000 mile maintenance (I don't put a lot of miles on my car), but so far it's been a really good car for me. No major problems. While I was at the dealership the other day a lady who brought in her Tuscon was telling me about her sister who had bought an Elantra about 10 years ago and put over 200,000 miles on it! She had since sold the car, but it's running strong for the other owners as well.|||Theyre not a top car company so they have to make long lasting cars to sell them. Not like Ford with the Mustang. Its flashy so you pay more for that. But when I think "new car" Hyundai isnt my first choice.|||They last longer than the guy making steak upstairs

What size of speakers fit in a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe?

I wanted to know what size of speakers to buy for my 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS V6. Please specify sizes for the front and for the back. Thank you!|||Well, you've got different sizes in the front and back and maybe even 3-4 sizes total if you have a premium soundsystem from the factory. For reference purposes go to http://www.crutchfield.com and you can find out what speakers etc you can use and compare models.

How much does it cost to paint a Hyundai Elantra?

I live in Toms River, New Jersey and I recently bought a gold 2002 Hyundai Elantra. It has black tinted windows in the back and i would like to get the car painted black. Its my first car and i got it really cheap from a family friend for $2700 so I'm not looking to spend a lot on painting it,but I don't want it to be some really crappy job either. How much would it be to get a cheap decent paint job and if anyone knows where I could get one done would be a great help too !

Thanks :)|||Depends on where you have it done and how much rust/dents need to be repaired. Cost for a cheap job, about $300/$400.. for a good job about $4000/ $6000. A good job done right could would be higher.|||A scuff and shoot paint job with decent paint about $1500, that doesn't include fixing any scratches, dents, etc. For a nice properly done paint job with decent paint $2500.

Where can I go to have automatic folding side mirrors installed on a 2007 Hyundai Sonata in NJ?

Folding mirrors are not standard or optional on 2007 Hyundai Sonatas. Therefore, this would have to be a custom job.|||He's talking about electronically folding mirrors, that is not standard except on maybe the Genesis. Yes, most cars have mirrors you can manually fold, on my Azera it was an option. I don't know where in NJ you can get it done, call some performance or repair shops.|||What??? the Hyundai EXCEL had folding mirrors, but there was a thing you wedged into them after you folded them to keep them there.

you SHOULD have folding mirrors, pull toward you hard, it will give, and flex back.|||?????????????? my 2003 has folding mirrors???????????|||Are you sure yours aren't the folding type? I have a 2007 Hyundai Accent, they were on it when I bought it and the Accent is a cheaper model than the Sonata
